Growing up

It's kind of weird how realizations can hit you. I remember when I was twelve and my thirteenth birthday approached I was literally crying myself to sleep. I was convinced once I turned 13 all my toys would disappear and I wouldn't be allowed to play anymore (courtesy of a younger friend who told me that was what her mother planned to make her do when she turned 13... I have a distinct sense now she was messing with me, but I was really genuinely worried at the time - I wasn't a particularly savvy child). Ever since that birthday I guess I always felt the impending doom that was maturity breathe in over me after every birthday. And of course

Mostly because the old journal was collecting so much mold I think it was on the cusp of achieving sentience (that's what I get for putting 'celery' in the title, but also because I think I'm finally at a point now where I have collected enough mental data I can form a slightly coherent opinion on Bioware and EA's MMO vehicle, which, between desperate hopes for weekend betas, early access, running subs is... good, right? But I've really just scratched the surface. Mechanics and the CC and so on isn't really going to be the subject here because it's covered at length elsewhere, and it's not really, what I think anyway, what really matters and

Fans of something tend to rant a lot - I do so myself, too. I guess it's because if you care about something, you want to share the experience, you want to defend it if people see it 'wrongly'. It's pretty basic sociology, too. Most group-based behaviour revolves around what bands us together and what sets us against 'the others'. As such, you pretty much have the framework of why most debating ends up as a waste of time, and also why some minor things can sometimes get blown out of proportion. That said, I found a rant the other day I actually agreed with. I'm not entirely unbiased, of course, I am developing a fondness of Doctor Who, parti

Thought you'd like this extended first look at the new Les Mes they're making over here:

Dear, I am falling in love with your sweet kind of drawing Javert =D
Thank you! He is my favourite of them all to draw, too. He's very easy to get right once you get used to those damn chops. Fantine's probably my least favourite in terms of drawing, since her hair is absolutely made to drive people INSANE.

And thanks a bunch for the fav, I -really- appreciate it *^_^*

Next week's is entirely Javert-centered, I can promise that. Sadly that's the last of the ones I have finished, but they're pretty quick to do, so I might do more if I see something else that seems to beg for snarky comments (not that Javert will thank me for what I have in mind...)

And thank you for following! Always good to see Jav-preciation.
Wow!!! Javert's week!!! That's excellent news!!! XDDDDDDDDD
Happy Birthday.
Moar art! I demands!
This one will see what it can do...
